Life after treatment


We are taught how to read and write, but we are not taught how to see properly, Images are not innocent. We are bombarded by thousands of them, each one trying to sell us something, to convince us of a certain conception of the world. The task of creating images for non for profit becomes more challenging because people have become kind of immune to images used by these non for profit to raise funds and awareness. These images use stereotype to create empathy and objectifies the beneficiary with putting viewer on higher ground with the hope bringing change. The usual representation and stereotypes which are commonly used in images for non for profit were avoided in this body of work.
